Accuracy is central to our credibility. When we make a mistake, we correct it promptly and openly.
How to report an error
Email [Corrections Email, e.g. corrections@todayviralusa.com] or use our Contact page. Please include the article URL, the statement you believe is incorrect and, where possible, a source supporting the correction.
How we handle corrections
- Corrections: When we publish a factual error (such as a wrong name, number, date, quotation or attribution), we fix the text and add a note at the end of the article describing what was changed and when.
- Clarifications: When a story is accurate but could be misunderstood, or omitted important context, we add a clarification note.
- Updates: Developing stories are updated as new information emerges. Significant updates are noted with a timestamp.
- Editor’s notes: If an article fails to meet our standards in a serious way (for example, an undisclosed conflict of interest), we add an editor’s note explaining the issue.
- Retractions: In rare cases where the core of a story is wrong, we may retract it and explain why. We do not silently delete articles to hide errors.
Minor spelling, grammar or formatting fixes that do not change meaning may be made without a note.
Social media and newsletters
If an error appears in a social media post or newsletter, we will correct it on the same platform where practical.
Removal requests
We generally do not remove or “unpublish” accurate reporting. We will review requests involving safety risks, minors, or legal obligations on a case-by-case basis. Contact [Contact Email].
