6. Data retention

For example: newsletter data until you unsubscribe (plus a short period to honor the opt-out); comments for as long as the article is published unless you ask us to remove them; correspondence for as long as needed to respond and for record-keeping; and analytics data according to our providers’ retention settings [e.g. 14 months]. In the preceding 12 months we may have collected the following categories of personal information defined by the California Consumer Privacy Act (as amended by the CPRA): identifiers (such as name, email address, IP address and cookie IDs); internet or other electronic network activity (browsing and interaction with the Service and ads); approximate geolocation; and inferences drawn from the above (such as interest categories). Sources, purposes and recipients are described in Sections 1, 2 and 4. We may “sell” or “share” identifiers, internet activity, approximate geolocation and inferences with advertising partners for advertising purposes. We retain each category as described in Section 6.
